Welcome to Website Design Answers

You’ve seen the ads on TV…

“Build your own professional website in as little as 30 minutes.
Get found by all the search engines and you’ll
make a fortune in no time at all.”

That’s stretching it just a BIT!

As of March 8, 2012 (as reported by www.businessinsider.com), “there’s an estimated 644 million active websites on the Internet according to Netcraft.

Netcraft’s March 2012 website survey discovered
644,275,754 active websites, to be precise.

Half a billion is a lot. But when we’re talking about the Internet, sounds kind of small.

It won’t be small for long. The Internet is still growing by leaps and bounds. The March numbers were up by 31.4 million (5.1%) over last month.

Plus, nearly six million domain names were added to the Internet in the fourth quarter of 2011, bringing the total to 225 million domain names worldwide, says VeriSign. Each domain name can designate a single website or it can host lots of them.”

Now, do you REALLY believe spending an hour or so
building a website would get Google’s attention in ANY way?

Creating (or expanding) an online presence for your business is a multi-step process that takes time, patience and experience.

The competition for selling products online can be daunting. You’re competing against highly recognized experts who have been on the web for years, throughout the entire country, sometimes the entire world.

Selling your services can also be competitive but much less so if you focus on going local. For example, people won’t be searching for roofers or landscapers in Seattle if they live in Denver. So Denver roofers or landscapers are only competing with roofers or landscapers in Denver.

So going to the web with the intent of starting a or attracting more business is admirable and a necessity especially if your competition has a website.

To make that happen, you’ll either need the time to learn how to do that yourself, or money to hire someone to do it for you.

To create online recognition takes a methodical commitment on your part for the care and feeding of your website.
